Bonaire Hyperbaric Recompression Chamber

There have been some inquiries as to emergency services at Bonaire. Bonaire has the 60-bed hospital, Hospital San Francisco (Kaya Soeur Bartola #2, Kralendijk), and a number of doctors. There is also an ambulance plane on call for emergencies. Bonaire received a new hyperbaric recompression chamber in 2008. This new treatment facility is located just a one-minute walk from Bonaire's San Francisco Hospital. The treatment chamber was built in The Netherlands and offers space for eight patients. At the facility, there is also a medical examination room as well as a guest room. The facility is run by a trained staff and admittance is via the emergency room at the hospital.
