Welcome!
On April 5, 2013, sixteen Orange County divers will embark on a eight day trip to Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles for a fun filled week of SCUBA diving and partying at Buddy Dive Resort. Airline travel has been arranged through a group contract with Delta Airlines.
We have been very fortunate to be able to work with Buddy Dive Resort and Delta Airlines in organizing a group trip that is financially advantageous and filled with great accommodations, great diving and a week filled with fun and leisure.
As of September 2012, we have twelve reservations and can accept four more maximum. The airline reservations and the resort reservations have been made and are guaranteed.
About Bonaire
Bonaire is an island small in size, but filled with dynamic opportunities for diving, eco-adventures, or simply enjoying the laid back way-of-life, slow pace, and tranquility that is so typical. The island is located in the southern Caribbean, outside the hurricane belt and just over 500 miles from Miami.
Constantly rated as the top dive destination in the world and as a pioneer in preserving nature, Bonaire is indeed the dream for every diver. Over eighty dive sites, many of which are easily accessible by shore, truly make Bonaire the “shore diving capital” of the world. But this boomerang-shaped island, 24 miles long by five miles wide, also offers a variety of activities for those who do not dive.
Constant trade winds from the east ensure a pleasant breeze over the 112-square mile island. Although influenced by a dry climate, Bonaire has three distinctive land types. The central region is semiarid, while the southern region is flat and wide open with a unique mangrove system and salt pans. The northern part is more green and hilly. With a height of 714 feet, Brandaris is Bonaire's highest point. An average annual rainfall of 22 inches, an almost constant water temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and a slightly higher air temperature of 82 degrees Fahrenheit, makes Bonaire a pleasant environment in which to vacation.
